week 3 weigh in result

Hello lovelies. Weighed in this morning - wasn't expecting much as I had a SP yesterday and it was showing that I would STS this week after a few days of excess for my birthday at the end of last week.

I lost 2lbs! Am really chuffed with that as I didn't expect it - I am now 16st 0.5lbs and have lost 11.5lbs since I started just before New Year.

I bought "I Can Make You Thin" by Paul McKenna from a cheapy book store in town yesterday - whilst it goes against the principle of Weight Watchers in that it encourages you to eat whatever you want, as long as you take it slow and enjoy the mouthful, I thought it may be a tidy investment for 90p (plus the CD!) :D I read about 100 pages yesterday and am already challenging myself - listening to my body to when I'm hungry rather than eating for the sake of conventional times (breakfast lunch dinner for example). I thought I'd give it a chance anyway.

I also bought 30 Day Shred by Jillian Michaels yesterday off Amazon for £4.99. I've heard it is the hardest work out DVD there is on the market so I'm not holding out much hope of being able to switch it on, never mind get through a workout, but maybe when I'm fitter it will help tone up and lose some extra pounds. At the moment I'm doing walking and a bit of a yoga in the morning, which is good (over 30 mins of exercise) it's not really cardio and isn't going to be losing much in the way of inches. I'm going to see if I did indeed bring the Davina McCall DVD back with me when I moved and I may give it a go this morning.

In other news I have a busy day - I've got to go and pick up some Avon books and deliver another batch before the order is due in next week. This is my first campaign and at the moment I've not had much luck :( Fingers crossed! Tomorrow I've got to pick some more up which I delivered on Monday. Hope you all have wonderful days and good luck to those weighing in :)

neglectful and being 26!

Hello all!

Long time no blog - I have, for the most part, been on track minus three days over my birthday where I just ate whatever. I didn't even post my WI weight from last week, which was -3.5lbs taking me down to 16st 2.5lbs - however I have put 3lbs on over the last few days, which may or may not come off by Wednesday (being Sunday today).

I had a great birthday and am struggling to comprehend that I am now the wrong side of my 20's and heading to 30....eek! Lots of wine was consumed as was food in general. Had some lovely presents - a dress and cardigan from Rob (in a size 16, although it's a very roomy one!) and a bag which is a satchel type which I've been after for ages. Had a bit of money too which is always handy!

I will return hopefully pronto with the damage from this weeks WI - fingers crossed it's a STS or a tiny loss!

the relief!

OK, so it took a bottle of wine before I could actually go, but it's gone and I'm 2lbs down, haha.

I have major guilt for drinking the bottle, despite the fact I was only four over my daily points (and have only used 4 of my weekly now) - I'm supposed to be allowed a treat and I must not make myself feel bad for it, but for some reason I can't help it. I guess because on previous WW attempts I've only ever drank wine in very small doses (and for the best part didn't drink it at all) so to drink a whole fecking bottle is a steep step. Needless to say I've felt pretty foul today!

To try and combat the hangover I went for an hours walk whereby I was convinced I was going to throw up every five minutes but once I got to the sea I felt marginally better. I picked up some veg and made some 0pp soup, but felt so sick I barely ate anything apart from two slices of Nimble toast.

Tonight we had homemade fish and chips which was quite nice - I might do it with chicken next time although it'll be more points, white fish just tastes a bit bland to me. Had a yoghurt with some apricots too and a WW chocolate slice - so overall I've had 26pps out of 36pps and earned 5 Activity Points.

Am ridiculously tired despite sleeping during the day so think I'm going to have a lie down and just relax.

the first weigh in!

Well, I stood on the scales this morning and had a loss of 6lbs - I've not lost any weight since Sunday (I've actually gained a pound) but as Rob keeps saying, I've probably got about 3lbs worth of...food blocked up.

Still haven't been, in pain now and feeling really dizzy and sick. I guess one of the benefits of being bunged up is that you don't feel like eating much, as a result I've had 30ppts out of 36.

I was going to go for a long walk this morning to try and encourage myself to go potty but I felt so vile that I made do with walking into town (about a 1.5miles there and back) and 30 minutes on the Wii - I did yoga which made me feel a bit better so I'm going to aim to do 15 minutes of yoga each day.

Had a sausage casserole type thing for dinner - and on the advice of a couple of WW'ers I decided to boil potatoes with swede - it's really nice! I should really take photos of my food and post recipes as a lot of my menu's are just made up.

Anyway, we're watching Indiana Jones, can't believe this film is 30 years old!

feeling a bit crummy

I've had a bit of a difficult day today - yet AGAIN I'm having problems going to the toilet (I had real massive problems before Christmas) and despite taking dissolving laxatives I'm not going, which is a) making me feel like crap and b) meaning my weight loss (if since Sunday) isn't showing. A SP suggests I HAVE lost weight, but I think it would be more if I could just go and have a poo! (TMI SORRY!)

I've just been feeling low in general today - I walked past a mirror whilst in Next earlier and I just thought WTF, you look horrific - fat and horrible and blergh. Hopefully after a couple of weeks on plan I will be settled again and feeling better, and I know it's always the first week that is the hardest getting used to everything again.

Today, anyhow:

B: Porridge = 5ppts
L: Turkey & Ham Subway = 7ppts
Apple = 0ppts
D: Stir Fry = 13ppts
S: Veg Soup (homemade) = 1ppts
WW Chocolate Slice = 5ppts

I made a big batch of soup earlier, to save money and to have something to eat as a snack if I'm feeling hungry - I bung a load of veg in with some stock and then put a tablespoon of curry paste in to make it a bit spicy - but for 1ppt its delish! Dinner was stir fry but I over pointed that as I didn't have half of it and I didn't half the oil or the soy sauce so would be about 10ppts really, but best to overpoint.

We walked the 3 miles into town earlier - I'm finding it really hard exercise wise at the moment, my back is KILLING me and is so painful a lot of the time - I should see the doctor really about getting some anti-inflammatories but they usually bugger my stomach about (make me constipated) so I don't want to really get any, oddly I prefer to just ride the pain instead of taking medication. I've got to go back and get a prescription anyhow so I'll ask then.

Tried to find some boots today in the sale but couldn't for love nor money - there were a nice pair in Brantano but they were £100! I don't think so!

I think I'm going to get an early night tonight as I was up uber early - half five! Sitting with a green tea and Rob is watching the television, I think I'll go and relax in a bit.

Happy Slimming =)

mondaaay.

Hello lovelies.

I'm back from my Mum's and I had a lovely time - it was so good to see her and my Nana (and even a stealth visit from my auntie, uncle and cousin) and we had a good time.

I managed to stay completely on track despite my Mum's convincing act that it was our "holiday" as we'd not seen each other for nearly three weeks. I was planning on cooking a Quorn Cottage Pie for dinner but then Mum said she didn't fancy the ol' veggie mince, so I had to rethink, without my eSource! Yikes!

I had porridge in the morning before I left and was armed with Slim a Soups and fruit in case Mum hadn't stocked up, in the end I didn't eat all of it anyhow. I had a turkey and ham Sub for lunch and a Go Ahead bar and then went to the local Garden Centre - the food there is immense (think scones, cakes, ice cream, roast dinners!) but I just sat with a diet coke whilst everyone else ate - a bit sad really but I'd already had lunch and I wasn't going to go over points or risk binging.

Dinner was a tomato and basil chicken with potato ready meal from Sainsburys and I treated myself to a BGTY Chocolate pudding dessert which was really nice for 5ppts. In the evening I had a shortbread biscuit for 2ppts (pretty good I thought) and had some more fruit (pineapple, I'm obsessed with it!). I need to make sure I don't eat TOO much fruit, as it can have an adverse effect on the weight loss.

In the end I had 28/37ppts, although I didn't do any exercise of any note at all.

Today has been much of the same, sticking to plan - I had porridge for breakfast round my Mum's and then a Morrisons Eat Smart Chilli Bowl for lunch - really filling and 7ppts! We've got mustard and soft cheese stuffed chicken with baby new potatoes and veg for dinner, and I'll have about 10ppts left over.

Managed a brisk walk into Norwich from Mum's today and a wander round, so that's my 30mins of activity done, although I'm not going to note it. I need to dust the Wii off and get going on that, no way we can afford a gym membership at the moment!

Hope you've all had a brilliant start to 2011 :)

stats.

So, I took my measurements today and a couple of photos.

Right Upper Arm: 14 3/4 inches
Waist: 42 1/3 inches
Hips: 47 1/2 inches
Right Thigh: 28 inches
Neck: 14 2/3 inches
Calf: 16 inches

There isn't a huge discrepancy between the measurements I took just before I stopped doing WW in June and those above, apart from the arm measurement which is higher than it was when I first started the WW journey back last March! Not sure what that is all about!

Here are a couple of photos - not very flattering at all!

I hate this ^ one - I look pregnant! :(

Anyway, I'll take them each month/two months and hopefully see the difference!

NY!

Happy New YEAR!

There is nothing quite like the start of a new year to make you feel positive. I started off today by eating a bowl of porridge and going for a long, long walk; despite the fact I had a bit of a muddled head from half a bottle of cava and no food the night before...whoops!

I hope you all had a lovely evening - we stayed in and watched television and cracked open the cava at around 11pm - loads of fireworks were going off even then and when the bells chimed there was a spectacular display down the road - I think I saw more fireworks last night than I did for the last two guy fawkes night combined!

As a general rule, I don't really make resolutions because I'm hopeless at keeping them. This year I would like to be closer to my goal weight (or at it, if I work hard enough) and to get fitter - I was getting there in the summer but when I stopped tracking my points I generally stopped doing as much walking, and lost the rhythm. When I reach 15st I would like to do the C25k plan, and will invest in a sports bra to aid this venture!

The good thing about living by the coast is there are lots of wonderful walks or runs to be had by the sea, and it's very picturesque. Obviously the weather isn't great at the moment but there is a lot to be said of wrapping up warm and embracing the chill, walking quickly to get warm.

Yesterday I used some of my weekly allowance to have some cava, although because I didn't have dinner I wasn't far over my daily points. I don't think I'm going to be using them very often as we don't go out that much, but it's nice to know they are there if I need them.

I'm looking forward to my tea later, pork loin with kale!

Here is to 2011 - may your dreams come true xxx

Happy Slimming =)
